Robert’s particular areas of specialism are HR and Employee Engagement. He is particularly interested in helping people have the difficult conversations that go along with employee retention.
Over the past 25+ years in hospitality, Robert has learned a lot about the importance of developing people - leaders and culture - to ensure a positive customer journey.
In fact, everything Robert does to address the various industry challenges, stems from his innate ability to connect with leaders - to work with them - to identify how to exceed customer expectations.
After 15 very successful years at Apex Hotels - a boutique hotel brand with properties across Scotland and the south of England - latterly as the HR Director, he decided it was time to strike out on his own and follow his passion for all things engagement and share it with other leaders, both existing and emerging.
Robert brings a wealth of practical HR experience to the We Are Extraordinary consulting team along with a passion and flair for coaching at senior leader level.
Robert is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
